Pony society as a whole has a fascination with the rump of a pony from a young age,cutie marks and all that. Butt Bumping must be seen as a higher from of hoofbumping,lacking fingers to give the expression that hand-gestures have.The only alternative for friends is head bumping which seeing how touchy-feely ponies are would cause brain damage in time especially if their unicorns .
