She does that thing where, with the muscles of her chest and abdomen, she crawls forward, worm-like.
 
The mud soaking into her chest makes you pause. For the first time, you realize that she wears her mane and tail short because she HAS to. She would be tangling herself up in it if she let it grow.
 
You don’t know if she might want hair as long and flowing as that caretaker mare, Fluttershy. But as she keeps her mouth closed to keep the water from the road out of it, you want only to give her what could have been. You want to see her with all four legs, a long and feminine set of hairstyles cascading around her.
