Listening again, I think there was a snare drum in the background, but it’s mixed in quietly and doesn’t mark the backbeat after all. That actually makes it less techno-like compared to standards like “Strings of Life” since it’s four on the floor. But since contemporary EDM has loser terminology for older genres and given the use of an oontz-oontz pattern in genres like based hardtechno anyway, you pretty much nailed it I think.
Just 155 bpm techno build up between the dubstep and the drumstep as a warmup. No character, no snare but has hats, 155 bpm, so simply techno build up. It is not uncommon thing at parties.
Hardstyle has hardstyle kicks and hardstyle leads.
Rather warm-up time than techno time…
(I like dubstep, drumstep, electro and techstep all equally.) :D
Where’s the monstrous clusterfuck of hardware? Where’s the keyboard? Where’s the mixer?
Hard house is a good comparison, yeah, especially with how it builds up and uses a punchy bass.
Also, I just realized this uses Comic Sans.
often, but not always. it has something or Hard House too
I’m actually okay with that.
Looks like she’s canonically mute.
Hardstyle beats often have more melodic “growl” to them, though.
She lets her music speak for her.
Apparently she lets her music speak for her.
