And this is the best thing it’s turning to.
I always knew that pony loves to hear the sound of her own voice.
My sides have left the Earth’s orbit.
Twilight gets really, really, really bored when her friends are on Cutie Map missions without her.
Assuming all her vids are 8 hours long, that’s over 160 full days of videos.
BOOKS FOR THE BOOK HORSE
It’s actually only eight hours, but methinks that’s beside the point.
It’s obviously a joke.
This is Twilight we’re talking about. Her potential for long-winded explanations is not to be underestimated, especially when she’s doing a dramatic reading of what’s presumably a very dense and extensive text on magical theory by her favorite mage.
>8 hours
>absurd
@phallen1
Ah, of course. Though that just begs the question of why Twi’s video is over ten hours long. I mean, I know it’s probably just a joke, but I find it highly unrealistic that anyone (even Twilight) could talk about anything (even Starswirl the Bearded) for such an absurd length of time. What’s even more absurd is the fact that this video is only a single part in a series of five-hundred episode (with each episode presumably being somewhere close to the same length as this).
You’re not actually supposed to sit down and watch/listen to 10-hour song loop videos all the way to the end. That’s not what’s intended. The idea is that you’d play it in the background so that you can listen to it for however long you want to while doing something else. The only reason it’s ten hours is so that you’re effectively guaranteed that the song won’t run out.
You’re not going to sit there giving it 100% of your focus, you’re going to play it in the background while you do something else.
Yeah I know THAT, but does anyone anywhere have the time to sit down and watch/listen to ten hours of ANYTHING? I mean, are there people out there actually watch the damn things all the way to the end WITHOUT skipping over 95% of it? I mean, we all have those songs that we can listen to over and over and over again so many times in a row, but ten hours is just absurd.
“Extended” loops of the songs. This is seriously a thing some people do on YouTube.
MFW yank off the knob :|
CRANK UP THE VOLUME, AND YANK OFF THE KNOB
cable that early, nice. we had a VHF antenna until ’92 and then got a satellite dish.
We had six local channels in 1975; in ’76 we got cable and it went up to 12.
we had basicly 3 and one that was 50% of the day mostly white noise because it was not from our country ^^
Hey, I saw the original Star Wars when it first came out. Watched it in something called a “drive-in theater”, where you (or your parents) would park the car in front of a HUGE outdoor movie screen and listen to the movie via a speaker you got from a stand outside the driver’s side window.
I also remember getting up and walking to the TV in order to change the channel, which you didn’t do as often because there were only 4 or 5 channels available.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and take my Geritol.
When I ever feel old, I just walk outside and see my 11 year old brother trying to hide his fussing at his Call of Duty game, and I feel less bad about feeling old. Besides, I’m only 20, so I can also look at that.
I remember reading it around when it first came out.
now I feel old. :(
No prob. And lucky for me, it was already over by the time I started reading, so I don’t feel old for having read it.
