How do you think Azure would interact with Flash Sentry?

Grudge? No. Friendly spars? Maybe, depends with whom. Justice? Once, but of course that didn’t end well for Azure. Show of strength? Not really, he’s confident enough to not have to do that, though other sorts of competitions with Crater are common besides a physical brawl. Etc? Depends. Typically it’ll have to escalate before he utters anything along the lines of “You wanna go?” And typically that’s only with Crater. With Shining Armor, he does taunt him and kinda goad him into wanting a fight, but apart from that not really cause he may respect Shining’s determination and loyalty, but not his skills (after all let’s face it, the most impressive thing he did was throw Cadence from a balcony.)

Nope. There’s some level of respect but as I initially modeled Azure to be a shadow/mirror sort of thing to Shining, they don’t exactly care for each other either. From the moment I saw Shining Armor I pictured him more of that pampered prodigy sort of thing. Like he had it fairly easy in life and where he is a protector by nature I could never shake the feeling he became Captain of the Guard because his little sister was Celestia’s favorite student. Azure on the other hand I wanted to be more the hard worker, the one who had to get to where he is by the blood and sweat of his brow. Shining is the shield, Azure’s the sword.

He doesn’t care for her. Hate is a rather strong word. Given that Luna apparently holds no more ill towards her sister, Azure doesn’t either. At worst he doesn’t really like her. But hate, no. If he hated her he’d try to kill her.

Does Azure hate Celestia?

Well his swords are more like gladius style blades. But yeah. And I have been thinking about extending further into his herd’s history stating that there is a little dragon in them because the unicorn variants have the curved horn, pegasi have a claw on their wings and earth ponies have long tails. But those design ideas for them predate this kirin idea I’ve been thinking about. Probably not gonna do it unless I can manage to think of how to make it work without being too overdone yah know? Cause they already have these physical differences from Equestrian ponies and I said originally it’s cause they’re a more primal breed sort of thing.
 
Either way I’m going to refrain from adding the Kirin to their history until I can think of how to make it work right cause I’m not about to just say “Oh yeah, the have some dragon in their ancestry and that’s why they look this way”. Gotta put some thought into it. So far the only idea that I’ve considered that might make it work would be something like they accepted the dragon’s blood to make them better warriors or something but I dunno. Again, gonna need to ponder on it. Until then it’s just sticking to the “primal/feral breed of pony” reasoning. I mean there are bat ponies and crystal ponies so who knows? As of yet Kirin are a fandom thing so I’m not about to go too far.

But most of the time, I see Azure using duel double edge swords. Azure looks a lot like a Kirin or a Persian unicorn with his curved horn.
