Her personality wasn’t fully apparent as an antagonist. Similarly, Sunset’s is moderately more flushed because she has existed longer. Starlight’s episodes currently total one hour, twenty-eight minutes, making her a character in one and a half movies. Either’s character hasn’t had ample time to fully bloom, which is where further appearences come in; i.e., FiM and EG.
That’s okay, almost nobody does.

The stallion who was the first lead villain when Daring was found to be real.
The only villain in-show who got his and left without losing much.

Who’s Doctor Caballaron?
I think it’s not numbers, or at least not entirely, it’s that all the particularly dangerous antagonists who were ponies have been unicorns thus far, save for Nightmare Moon (and she was an alicorn, so she still had a horn).
Does Flutterbat get honorable mention?
Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Doctor Caballaron, The Mane-iac, Babs Seed Cheese Sandwich, and arguably Spitfire in Rainbow Falls have all acted as antagonists (temporary ones for the last three).
I would also argue that Applejack acted as the antagonist in The Last Roundup.
Daring Do’s enemies that aren’t Handtail.

Sure it is.
But I was talking about Sunset. And regardless of what I think, I never said it wasn’t a friend-shot.
That rainbow blast against NMM in Ep. 2 was meant to be a friendship blast. It’s literally just another form of reaching out to someone who is desperately in need - and ready - to be taken away from bitterness.
