Actually, why SO many bootlegs exist is because they are in Asian countries, so it’s nearly impossible to actually physically stop them. Even if an injunction came through, the company would just rebrand itself and do it again :p
Why do they use fanart? No idea, maybe it’s what they thought looked best, maybe it’s an inside joke, who knows? Only the guy who made it.
