it’s pics like this that makes me want a fan rpg of luna and the CMC working together to defeat a villain who is all of the nightmares luna has cast away in one evil entity and this villain has put everyone in equestria in a eternal sleep and luna’s team has to save everyone from 3 nightmares each. i know i went a little to far in explaining this idea, but i got it after watching Bloom and Gloom.

This pretty much signifies Luna’s purpose. Think about it: She’s the one solely responsible for looking over dreams and helping ponies overcome their worst fears and beliefs. She personally helps shape every pony into being who they are when they grow up. As big of a deal as her sister is, this proves that Luna has just as much, if not more, of an important role in Equestria.
