my head cannon here is Sliver got SO into it she got vission blurred so to speak and no longer saw friend or foe, and just targeted anything that moved as all she saw were targets to hit lol

Nah, I kind of imagined that they bought into the stereotype of spoiled rich bullies being all bark and no bite, so they would crumple like paper before them, and that’s not counting their numbers advantage. That DT was able to force their strongest fighter into a stalemate while Silver Spoon picked the other two off came as a complete shock.

I like all of it except that last part.  
Diamond Tiara would be way different if Silver Spoon wasn’t her friend but being worse thann she is now isn’t really a thing for me.  
I’d think she’d be a loner type who wants attention from others rather than a worse bully.

Oh goody! Silver Spoon headcanons! Mind if I join in on the fun? This is primarily derived from the fanfic I’m writing, mind you, so it might be a bit on the long-winded side.
 
Silver Spoon was an introverted, soft-spoken pony who didn’t have anything in the way of friends until she met Diamond Tiara. Alot of things have happened in Diamond Tiara’s life since then and she is a much different pony than she was when Silver Spoon first met her, but Silver Spoon still sees her in the same way she did back then. Silver Spoon is naturally attracted to Diamond’s brash, outgoing personality and always feels more confident and secure when she’s with Diamond. This isn’t to say Silver Spoon would have trouble making friends if she struck out on her own: While Diamond Tiara possesses a glib, superficial charm that she uses to mask her insecurities, Silver Spoon’s charm is subdued and genuine and is probably one of the reasons Diamond likes her.
 
Silver Spoon’s decision to go along with Diamond Tiara’s teasing has nothing to do with being mean-spirited or cruel herself; if anything, she has the opposite problem. She cares deeply about Diamond Tiara and places her own needs and desires ahead of her own, since she fears hurting Diamond Tiara’s feelings and/or displeasing her far more than feeling guilty. The idioms “if you’re eating with the devil, use a long spoon” (see what I did there? ) and “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” pretty much sum up Silver Spoon. In her quest to be a good friend to a corrupted pony, she’s become corrupted herself. While Diamond Tiara has many ponies whom she hangs out with, Silver Spoon is the only pony Diamond Tiara considers to be her friend.
 
As terrible as Diamond Tiara is, she’d probably be a whole lot worse if she didn’t have Silver Spoon. Silver Spoon’s companionship is what keeps Diamond Tiara from going axe crazy and doing truly horrible things.

There are numerous examples of protagonists that are still likable despite being jerks (Sterling Archer is a good example), so DT and Silver Spoon could still maintain their personalities even if they were turned into friends/frenemies of the CMC. I think the real difference between a guy like Archer and a filly like Diamond Tiara is that Diamond Tiara only has bad qualities and no good ones. If they gave her some redeeming qualities, she might eventually develop into a lovable jerk as opposed to a character whom fans draw being disemboweled.

Exactly. That’s one of the biggest problems with these two in the show. Why is Diamond behaving in this way and why is Silver Spoon doing nothing to stop her? They have to have some sort of motivation or it’s just lazy writing!

I could definitely see Silver as being “Diamond Tiara’s brain.” She kind of serves that purpose in my fanfic.
