I imagine they’re like owls. Their real ears are on the side of the head.
Crap, I meant pretty well.
Probably pretty good, since many animals (like some species of fox and cat) have fluffy ears.
though I have to wonder how effective they are at actually hearing stuff

As for the other issue with the ears, not much that can be helped there that I can think of
@JonFawkes
Horns and wings aren’t that small to fellow ponies and definitely noticeable.perhaps what makes it weird is that that the wings don’t seam to be attached to a ear. As for light wings you never really show them in action. only seen one drawing of them. Would like to see more.
Wing ears don’t seem very…. right.
They look more in place than wing ears.
Actually, the humanized unicorns by this artist (amongst others) have elf-like ears.
They have pointed ears, like Tolkien-esque elves.
@stargrazer
It’s how the artist portrays Pegasus. Weird I know.
I wish to contest this notion. Wings on the back can look pretty damn awesome.
It’s just what the artist does to depict pegasi. How would you draw humanized pegasi? Wings on the back often look awkward and out-of-place.
