He is sometimes jerk to Flutershy. That is not out of character. But even though he is jerk to her he still has his soft side. That’s why Fluttershy likes him. Just imagine if someone other had Angel as pet. They would already dump him but not fluttershy. It’s in the intro. “Showing kindness is a easy feat” and there is angel. And why is there angel? Because even though angel is jerk showing him some kindness can make him sweetheart. That’s why he cares about her because she cares about him despite his personality.

I know that. Like I said previously I wasn’t making the argument that Angel didn’t care about FS nor the opposite way around; it was to show that Angel can be jerk to FS too and that his moments in “Put your hoof down” weren’t OoC.

Angel and Fluttershy’s relationship is…complicated. Basically, Angel is the little sibling/child character, like Spike to Twilght Sparkle or Apple Bloom to Applejack. Fluttershy, though, is a much more indulgent big sis/mother than Twilight or Applejack, so Angel has become a spoiled brat. On the other hoof, Fluttershy is more kind and affectionate, and so Angel is truly loving toward her, if toward no one else.

Awesome beyond words.

Upgrade your strength next time and this won’t happen.

It was for more than just “bugging Spike” the little bunny was specifically laughing at him as Spike tried to catch him. He was going kick one of theme solely to expose all of them not just get FS’s attention.
