What’s with the “minutes ago” changing so much?

@BK_Leonidas, Windows 8 and 8.1 changed the visual style from 7, removing the 3D effect on inactive buttons and the ‘pebble’ Start Button (Windows 8 removed it entirely, 8.1 brought it back due to customer outrage, and updated the start button to reflect Win8’s visual style changes).
 
The settings they’re using are large icons, combine icons when taskbar is full, locked taskbar. The OS is Windows Vista, Server 2008/2008 R2 or 7 (pebble and icon style are from the Windows Vista UI style guide which those 4 used.). Combine icons when taskbar is full and never combine displays the title, and groups windows for the same program together. Either of those two settings would group a pair of chrome windows like that. Sidenote: not logged into Google account on Chrome and iTunes is current.
 
While the music’s not my style, I can see the appeal, the tempo of that song works well with Fluttershy’s movements.

If you go to the taskbar properties and set “Taskbar buttons” to “Combine when taskbar is full”, I think it’ll look like that.

I have Windows 7 as well and I’ve never seen the open programs on the taskbar appear like that.
