That’s a rather dark headcanon…
unless the universe that was destroyed was the JJ-Abramsverse. Then it’s okay.
Got it in one. Friendship montages are my kryptonite. :3
I actually have a headcanon of sorts wherein Discord is actually Q, who, due to some mysterious event driving humanity into extinction, has cracked beneath the strain of loneliness and the utter failure of the Q Continuum. It takes Fluttershy to remind him of the Federation and return him to his old trickster mentor ways.
Edited
I think it was because of how they interspersed scenes of Twilight and her friends from other episodes - it drove DisQord’s message home more than Q’s leaning over to whisper into Picard’s ear and then changing his mind.
How bad is it that I consider the DisQord version of this scene so much more poignant than the TNG version? Then again, TNG and MLP go together like peanut butter and chocolate, so it was bound to happen.
Well, Q is a Fluttershy fan. Just look at how he reacted when the Changelings kidnapped her.
>Not saying Sunset, Rarity, Twilight, or Luna
Actually, it was “Fluttershy is Best Pony”.
Nah, I don’t think that’d necessarily happen. If anything, Q was a great example of how flawed the Q Continuum really was. Despite all his mockery and sarcasm, Q really did admire the human race. They intrigued him so much more than his own people did and that’s taking into account that his own people were basically omnipotent gods.
Q admired humans more than gods. That’s saying something.
So basically the season 4 finale of Babylon 5.
Here I’ll go first: I think he was going to tell him that he’s from the distant future, and that humans will eventually evolve into the Q.
