I take issue whenever people talk like this. Who is to say that AJ has to be big, girthy, and muscular? Along the way people’s HEADCANON about AJ’s body image somehow became accepted as a fact. To top it all off there’s a double standard: Rainbow and Maud have shown amazing physical feats in the show yet are portrayed as slim, smaller and more feminine while AJ is 180 degrees of opposite.
 
And I’ve worked too and been on several farms. Women are nothing like you’re describing. Work smart and work hard is what’s valued. That’s common in any workplace.
 
To the image, the girl is doing a fine job, glad she likes Applejack as much as she does.

You are quite correct. And while the idea of seeing a more muscular girl as Applejack is quite appealing, I cannot presume to berate or heckle the cosplayer because of her body (which I do not find to be unappealing at all; and even if I did, I would adhere to the “can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” rule).
 
These detail are nitpicks at best. If we were to look for miniscule faults, I’m conviced we’d discover a myriad of trivial aspects to point out (such the fact that the costume itself is not show accurate).
 
Furthermore, I would like to plead that her lack of brawn be excused and stricken from the record on the grounds that her belly is (as stated in my previous comment) exceptionally wubable and in possession of a beauty mark of significant cuteness.

Maybe but it doesnt fit AJ, shes too boney and has no girth to her, As AJ is a fit, and rugged earth pony i think the cosplayer would need some good muscle on her and maybe not be so scrawny. Someone like her probably wouldnt last 10 minutes on a farm. I know i worked on one for a while many years back.
