Background Pony Number 17

In chess, the rook is the “tank” or “heavy” piece. It could just mean this fellow’s a tough fighter.

Why not both?

Then again, there are at least three or four other crystal ponies with this exact same mane/tail design and cutie mark, just recolored. Each one could have a different talent related to towers or rook pieces. :d
