The idea would be that he’s the one taking the Elements away and the inevitable “so were you helping Discord?” questioning upon finding out Discord’s plan of the Plunder seeds.
It also means that the Mane Six are going to loan their power to Spike who will get a blue colour scheme and defeat a giant toy robot with the power of mouth-fired death beams.
