makes sense that people who loved the source will love the art piece on other stuff. doesn’t hurt that sonata is a fan favourite.

Might have more to do with the fact I’ve slapped what’s probably one of the best pics of pony Sonata ever to get drawn on it.  
Danmakuman has really done a great job with that original picture of her.  
There’s one of Aria as well >>768930 but it’s not scored anywhere near as well as Sonata. Assuming that’s down to Aria’s fan-base being much smaller.
 
He’s not done one of Adagio as far as I know, which is a pity. I’m intending to do a transport and squad for each of the Dazzlings, so I think I may need to attempt to do one of Adagio matching his style.  
(Yeah, like THAT’S going to happen!)
 
I’m considering making it so I can field a separate pony army with nothing but antagonists in it.

Out of that lot, I just need to build the Tirek reaver, finish the Sombra warhound (yep, this one’s under construction already), paint my old chapter master in Sunset’s colors, and do the Dazzlings units.
 
I’ve tried drawing a couple more pics of Sonata (ponified), but my last one doesn’t seem to have done that well so far. >>814078 (merged)  
Guess I’ll just have to try something else.

actually i didn’t know about the other doors. picture reminded me about the floor mural of george bush senior in saddam hussein’s palace (stepping on it is considered an insult, which what saddam wanted) and stuff about ieyasu tokugawa (in the manga ‘samurai executioner’ a clever convict tattoed the name of tokugawa on the back of his neck. since decapitating him would also destroy the tattoo, the executioner would be put to death also). so i imagined someone realizing that painting sonata’s face on the door might not be a good idea. i guess better the face than a crotch shot or placing the shirt in such a way that opening the doors is symbolically her flashing you.

Still got quite a bit of clean up work to do on this image yet, then I’ve got to clean up the pic on the back door, (was going to post that, but it looks a bit of a mess in the picture I took. The lining on it’s still a bit rough).

Thinking of doing the text ‘Taco Tuesday’ down one side of the model, with the Equestria girls version of Sonata doing the pose from the relevant scene. Not sure if it’ll turn out okay, but it should be worth a try at least.

so to get inside/outside you have to break sonata’s face?
