Plot twist: this is her original form, back when she was a young guppy in Olde Equestria.
Aria and Sonata were very bad influences.

Another thought, what if this isn’t the adorable reformed Adagio, but the adorable human Adagio? And Aria and Sonata confused her with their Adagio who is still doing battle with the Rainbooms.
