Just a little addition to my previous comment, here’s a whole thread about it called: ‘Could The One Ring be destroyed in any matter besides Mount Doom?’.
Oh don’t give me that bollocks. Even the fire of Ancalagon the Black (the mightiest dragon) couldn’t destroy The Ring.
In fact, here’s the quote from Gandalf himself:
“It has been said that dragon-fire could melt and consume the Rings of Power, but there is not now any dragon left on earth in which the old fire is hot enough; nor was there ever any dragon, not even Ancalagon the Black, who could have harmed the One Ring, the Ruling Ring, for that was made by Sauron himself.”
Mount Doom was where The One Ring was forged, so the implication was that only its fires could destroy it.
TL;DR: The lesser rings of power could be destroyed by dragonfire…but not The One Ring due to it being forged in Mt Doom itself.
Looks like someone did not read books.
The Ring can ONLY be destroyed in the fires of Mt Doom, NOTHING ELSE
