Valiant: Where do I start? There’s great food to eat, a small petting zoo, games, music some shops and my personal favorite, jousting.
 
Amber: Hm, jousting sounds cool.

Valiant: So, uh Anthea tells me you’re half-crystal pony.
 
Amber: Yep. Mom was from here. She and my father moved to Ponyville when they married though.
 
Valiant: And you’ve never come to visit?
 
Amber: Nope. I’ve been way too busy

Amber: Yep. I’m a nurse in Canterlot. Plus I’m raising two teenage boys which is probably more work than being a nurse

Amber: chuckles Yes I have two teenage boys. But not in the way you think. They’re my friends from the orphanage Annie and I are from. None of us got adopted and when I became legal, I took them in.

Valiant: Hm, well usually when crystal ponies are happy, they become crystalized.
 
Amber: I usually just kinda glow. But even to glow I have to be ridiculously happy. Doesn’t happen that often
 
Valiant: Must be because the Crystal Heart is in full effect today. Even non-crystal ponies such as myself become crystalized.
 
Amber: ……….. sounds legit.

Amber: You could just call me Amber. Or Lily. Or Lil’. Whatever you’d like
 
Valiant: Okay… Lily, what made you finally want to come out here after all these years?
 
Amber: Anthea made me. I told her I’d never been here and she went insane and insisted that I go to learn a little about my culture. Plus……. maybe I could learn a little bit about my mom.

Valiant: Certainly. Well, here we are. This is the jousting tournament. Looks like they’re just about to start.

Valiant: Isis Quartz was amazing at jousting. She used to be pretty famous around here and she was my personal hero at the time

Valiant: Yeah! She retired quite early when she moved away. I guess that’s when she moved to Ponyville.
 
Amber: Wow. I had no idea. Wait why do I look familiar to you?
 
Valiant: Well, you do look a lot like Isis and I remember her coming back to the crystal empire with a little foal. I think it was you
 
Amber: Huh, small world.
 
Valiant: Guess so
 
Amber: Well…….. this trip was more of a success than I thought. Thank you, Prince Valiant
 
Valiant: You can call me Lance.

Valiant: Hey, so um, after this match is over, would you like to stop at the library? Maybe we could find a book on your mother
 
Amber: Maybe later. I think I’d like to enjoy the Crystal Fair a little bit
