I wouldn’t describe my ability of walking as “just fine”, and such would especially be the case with limbs I’d just obtained that are different than what I had before, and not in a “minor” way, either. No fingers, yet he can hold things and win a ball-toss game? Sure.

Yes, I think it’s a safe bet these ponies age like humans instead of like real ponies. But nopony’s age is ever given to us except flashback Sweetie Belle and the Cake twins. Any other absolute age figures are speculation, not fact.
Fillies and colts are between the ages of one and four. However, Canterlot Wedding, and more conclusively, For Whom The Sweetie Belle Toils claim horse ages do not coincide with MLP ages. At least in G4.
Look at the art work, styles and actions. . .
The slightly different sizes doesn’t necessarily mean different ages. Snails is twice as tall as Snips and they’re in the same grade. And the 3-5 year age seems to be pulled out of thin air.
The twins? Foals also didn’t have a design until Mare-Do-Well in S02.
look at the body styles head, body and leg proportions ,,,,,
Twi looked younger then the CMC body wise when she was examined and Shys legs were long (pre teen?), Dashies whole make up was compact with stubby legs.( not quite CMC ages )
Pinkies and Raritys body was closer to CMC size and porportions.
Older than the Cakes fore sure, Younger than Granny Smith without saying. Look at the art work. . . .

Just Look at the art work, Twilight was the youngest, Flutters was the oldest, So spikey was hatched when Twi was 3 to 5 years of age , But really ponies are fully grown in 3 years anyway,
I don’t think Twilight hatched him when she was 3.
What will she say no to, though? This is the extent of what he wanted: a simple, fun, innocent date with her. He’s not going to ask for anything more until he’s physically, mentally, and emotionally mature enough to want something more.

The long neck combined with the dorsal plates kind of reminds me of Denver the Dinosaur.
