I think the font you used was a good choice!
For the translated murai shinobu comic I posted,
I used Wizzta for Celestia’s dialogue,
and Knights Templar for Luna’s.
( (though I paraphrased someone else’s translation)

I did this translation as an edit rather than in the comments, since it seemed like it would be a pain to scroll up and down to read every panel. I used a free “retro comic” type font, but I’m not sure if it looks right. At least it’s not comic sans.
