Ironically, it was with the fangame where her crusade against Derpy started. Then she took it to tumblr and her rabid fans started sending e-mails to Hasbro and the people behind the show, and that eventually lead to Derpy being censored.

Can anyone fill me in what Yamino did? The reason I know her is that she worked on an MLP fan game that is long gone as of this point (Fienda From Dreamvalley) and is not a fan of the show no longer which is to be expected from her due to the fandom treating her like a “victim”.

I… I didn’t realize Yamino had such a strong effect on the Brony Community. I only found her somewhat recently for her Sugarless Gum Blog.

There aren’t any countries where Derpy is seen as offensive. I’ve been looking into this a lot on google. Trust me, there really aren’t any well known definitions of Derpy. The first time people started claiming it’s offensive was a few months before Derpy was censored.

Regarding the Derpy vs Goofy thing:
 
Derpy’s VA mistook her for a male simply after being told she was dumb. That’s the double standard right there. If a female is dumb, they must be Candy Simpson (Man, I can’t believe I’m referencing Space Colony here) or the SJWs and soccer moms will complain. Just watch that Simpsons episode where Marge gets Itchy & Scratchy censored.  
Also, “Derpy” is offensive in some countries, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s blocked in the latest Pokemon games (though I haven’t tried, nor have I tried “Deep”)

I don’t know if Yamino “faked being a parent,” (it wouldn’t surprise me if some people did though…) but she did claim to speak on behalf of mentally-challenged people, which is ironic, because as I said many mentally-challenged bronies/MLP-fans weren’t offended by Derpy, and were against censoring her, and actually like the character ironically. I think she, and other people overreacted, or try to hard to “protect” people from anything “Not-P.C.” while not realizing said people can still think for themselves, and probably don’t agree with them…
 
Overall, I don’t have much else to say about the subject. So I’m just going to say while I don’t trust Yamino 100%, I also don’t believe she’s the sole/only person responsible for “Derpygate.” It’s old news, and I don’t really want to dwell/debate on old dramas for to long anymore.
 
While I’m fine with respecting people different from you, and not calling them “insults,” I believe all “political-correctness” does is make things even more awkward for people (whether a “majority,” or “minority” group) and make words out to be more offensive then they should be.  
Heck, I heard the word “midget” bleeped on TV before, as if the word was now as bad an old racial-slur. (Ironically many other cuss words, and violence in said show wasn’t censored at all.)

Well, yeah sure, I too can be legitimately offended but that doesn’t give me the right to fake my position as a parent or caregiver or whatever to speak for other people who aren’t actually offended by it.
 
As for the number of followers, it wouldn’t take more than a few dozen requests to change things when you’re accusing a company of being an *ist of some kind, especially with a brand that is supposed to family friendly and targeted at a young audience. It’s the exact same bullshit these people have pulled and continue to pull when they want to get their way.

It’s ok, I understand your frustratiosn, and even share some of them… Though saying their complaints were “artificial” makes it sound like they didn’t really believe Derpy was “offensive.” Judging by the things Yamino and some others said, it seems like they oddly did find Derpy’s portrayal/name in “The Last Round-up” offensive… (Makes you wonder what they think of Disney’s Goofy, SpongeBob Squarepants, and such. Better yet, why isn’t Tumblr protesting the “April Derp” from TMNT, as I said? Yes, it was actually called that in the show.)  
So even if their complaints were silly/petty, they were still their personal opinions.
 
And even though Derpy will never speak, or have a name now sadly, at least she’s still allowed to appear in the show. (Things could’ve ended MUCH worse.) Judging by the “chocolate fountain” scene, she can still do some funny/cute things to occasionally.

If those changes weren’t artificially forced (and anyone believing that bull was from legit complaints are only fooling themselves), nobody would give a single fuck about Yamino, Derpygate wouldn’t have been a thing, and there wouldn’t be any “sides” to any of this. But no. As it stands, Derpy will likely never speak again and most certainly will never be referred to by name, all because some selfish assholes abused the trust of a company with a fake public relations scare. So excuse me if I seem a bit touchy over it.

I understand that, and it’s very VERY ironic of you to accuse me of all people of being on the “SJWs” side… Considering I’ve been almost as outspoken against them as Tenafly Viper was, especially back during the DWM drama.  
I even criticized rabid brony-haters like P.P., and SJWs like Bhaalspawn, not to mention I’ve been standing up for bronies for years, and such.

I never said Yamino was a “saint,” I even criticized some of the things she said, and done if you look at my previous posts. While I’m not going to deny she was encouraging others to speak out against the Derpy-thing, and that she was annoying in that regard, I also don’t consider her the sole “Anti-Derpy” mastermind, or the root of all evil.  
Yes, she was annoying, but unfortunately she wasn’t the only person against the “Derpy” name, and such, and not the sole person responsible for “Derpygate.” Several unknown people were apparently, and she’s not the only person who coined the term “albeist,” and pretends/acts like she speaks for all mentally-handicapped people. (Ironically, as I said before, many mentally-handicapped MLP-fans had no problem with Derpy, and even defended her during the “Derpygate” incident.)
 
Whether, or not she’s entirely to blame for “Derpygate,” Yamino and the whole “Derpygate” drama is old news anyways, I’m just saying I don’t see why we need to keep bringing her up, or hate-mongering her. It also doesn’t reflect well on us as a fanbase.  
It takes more then one whiny overly-politically-correct person online to actually influence a TV show.

I’m just saying Yamino isn’t the only one to blame for the whole anti-Derpy crusade, and such. (She’s also not the only one who coined the term “albeist” in regards to Derpy.) But yeah, it’s a shame when the overly-P.C. people have to enforce their agendas on other people, or make words/terms out to be more offensive then they actually are… I don’t even think “Derp,” or “Derpy” were even real english terms, or meant anything, before the “derp eyes” interent meme got started a few years ago before MLP:FiM even came out.

Plus honestly, even if Yamino did have a small/big part in it, it’s old-news now… Yamino hasn’t started anything in a long while, Derpy’s back in the show, (though now nameless/voiceless) there’s nothing more we can do now. What’s been done is done…
 
Frankly, after Derpy’s disapearance in the middle of Season 3, (remember back when we all feared she was gone for good?) I’m at least thankful she wasn’t completely removed from the show.  
Also, regardless what anyone says, she can still be called whatever we want.

Not that I don’t believe you, but is there any proof of her trolling other people? Though, I did hear she blocked some people from her DA page, like one guy who jokingly asked her to draw Derpy in a nun outfit. (Which I admit, was to far. She probably thought they were “trolling” her, but were actually not.) After the Derpy drama, you can’t even joke with her about “Derpy.”

Now I can’t confirm if she’s telling the truth 100%, but if even the show staff are saying she wasn’t responsible for the “edits” in the episode, then maybe we should cut her some slack. (Especially, after 2 years, and a half.) Plus, she even pointed out other Tumblr-goers voiced their dislike of Derpy’s name & portrayal… (I even remember some random people on DA complaining about the name & voice. Some for different reasons.)  
So unfortunately there were others probably more-so responsible for “Derpygate” then she was, whom we’ll never know. (And probably be better off.) Plus, she’s not the only person who uses the term “albeist.” Tumblr is full of overly-P.C. people nowadays unfortunately.
 
I’m just thankful the “Derpster” is still in the show. (Even if she’s not allowed to talk, or have a name anymore to avoid upsetting fans on both sides of the argument.)

I guess I’m not completely over it. That’s what happens when you get emotionally attached to a character.
