I personally don’t think the functionality of “armor” should matter if it’s intended and used as metal lingerie without any pretense of protective qualities.
That said, Shining is Captain of the Guard, and I can understand how he might have trouble turning off that part of his brain.
just mentioning that accuracy is deadly serious for some people. like the aforementioned critique of the A-Team scene. the whole sequence wasn’t the problem for one tank nut but how innacurate the tank was in the details (wrong equipment, innacurate loader, that type of things).
