Sounds a bit like Tasmania except it’s snowed at population altitude once in my life, and only traces at that. Mostly just rains for the middle half of the year.

Well, yeah. I love cool/cold weather, much more than swelting 30+ summers.
Both. Danish winters alternates between above-freezing, no snow snorefests and 20-below, tonnes of snow and Siberian winds.
So far this year it’s unfortunately been the former.
you like when it’s uber cold? unless you live in country when during Winter there is no snow and it’s warm :^)
