Filthy Rich, I’m really ashamed of you. You know what, you’re not getting any supper for the night.
Taking back some of what I said, I don’t have much detail here. If he did it to prevent a riot, OK although it at least seems to me as if he was being asinine in his manner of talking to Sea Swirl. But if he did it to oppose the poor (Sea Swirl - and this may also apply to the crowd and the whole town and Filthy Rich himself), Horrible.
It’s the light thing to do in such a situation of being in Vinyl’s place, I believe. (I’m not saying “Right” here.)
I would love that.
Vinyl Scratch walks on stage and is given Trophy
Vinyl: “Filthy Rich,” Filthy Rich is appalled Vinyl: “And yes I know you hate that name but I use the name to get your attention. You call that young mare that you scared away back here right now! I totally reject this trophy without you at least giving her some opportunity to sing for this crowd and if you don’t, I smash the trophy because I don’t deserve it!”
Well, I can imagine it.
Filthy Rich here has no idea what he’s doing, No idea at all. What, What if Sea Swirl here were to have an even bigger response from the crowd despite having never performed before?
“Filthy Rich, your ship of expressed wisdom has sunk before it left port.”
I’d like to think so as well, but this is heart-wrenching nonetheless.
I don’t know why not just have some other random rich pony here. Sorry, but I really have when characters are mischaracterized for no reason other than the plot wouldn’t work otherwise, it’s a real pet peeve of mine.
Maybe having a kid calmed him down some.
True. But he sure seems like an asshole here. Maybe that’s just the way Seaswirl views him in her memory due to being hurt by her rejection!
Filthy: I prefer Rich.
Me: I don’t care.
