Well I guess it is supposed to show how powerful the magic is.

But what about the conditional nature of the magic? How does it decide who is angry at each other and who teams up with each other? I mean in the later case, it actually brings people together.
Where say, when Twilight Snapple cast her magic, it was every pony for themselves.
