@Poptard
Those are some terribad puns. My god. xD
It was the performance of the Sentury.
Would you say he stole it…in a flash?
Yep, the boy who cried “troll” is the troll.
Julian’s always doing what he does best, drawing out his ideas, NOT “trolling”. Don’t be a jerk to his work. You didn’t read Asturia’s first comment, did you not?
@Dirty Bit
It does feel like the old ones, but there are things that bug me. Namely the level design. Certain missions just drag on forever. Getting weapons isn’t awarding as the previous games. They give you almost everything clustered together. 3 especially felt good after killing a boss you got a reward - a new weapon.
So, in a nutshell, the gameplay itself is bad. :o
Just as a heads up, the gameplay itself is not bad, it’s just extremely simple compared to older DMC titles.
Also you can’t aim. At all. The game auto-targets the nearest enemy when you use your guns, not that you’ll want to, Coyote-A is– I’m sorry, Revenant is the only weapon worth using and you can’t hit stuff three feet in front of you because it’s a shotgun.
I’m, like… 75% certain that won’t happen. Which is not nearly enough.
That makes sense. No wonder I actually liked Travis. I honestly have yet to finish DmC. Played about a few missions of it.
All the more reason not to buy the game. Thanks for the review, man genuine nod in gratitude
That’s the biggest problem that I have with the game.
Dante’s supposed to be a wise-cracking jackass that doesn’t care about much as long as the world is still turning tomorrow, but still fights against evil because that’s what the believes is right, while in DmC he’s pretty much Travis Touchdown without the self-depreciation. In No More Heroes Travis was a loser who tries to be edgy and cool and the game made fun of him for it, but in DmC we’re supposed to think Dante is cool, when really he just giver the impression that he’s trying too hard. Plus the design just doesn’t fit with his personality. Dark, dull colors and horrible personal hygiene don’t give the impression of “This guy could give Brain Blessed a run for his money”, it gives the impression of “Stay away from this guy”.
And Vergil is a complete amoral sociopath that would make Che Guevara seem sane, so there’s that.
the music is what makes it.
I still find it kind of sad that people raged more about his redesigned appearance at first. Honestly, the redesigned appearance isn’t TOO bad. Turning both him and Vergil into unlikeable douchebags, however (supposedly, the whole point of their characterization in the reboot was that you’re not SUPPOSED to like them and that what they’re trying to do is just as bad as what the villains are doing. Which is still really stupid)… I think Dan Southworth (he voiced Vergil in Devil May Cry 3, voiced a different character in 4, and also voiced Vergil in MvC3 and its Ultimate version) refused to reprise his role because of what they did to his character in that reboot, though I could be mistaken.
Though if I’m not mistaken, even though the reboot does have that “Not in a million years” jab, I think his hair DOES become white again at the end of the game…
It’s great for those goddamned knights though.
Can’t counter someone when he’s ten meters away from you, now can you?
Best cutscene for a weapon, but I’m not sure it’s best weapon. Nevan is great though.
