One of the most ingenious headcanons I’ve seen for humans in Equestria was that we alone are able to directly see magic auras.
Like several other good ideas (high resistance or immunity to magic, active magic cancellation), it fits well with a distinctly non-magical everyday existence for us but still gives a human a bit less of a disadvantage in a world full of dangerous monsters, magical unicorns, and Pinkie Pie.
And nobody realized Trixie was an unicorn until she took her hat off.
The only clues I can recall is that no one thought Cadance’s magic color weird, and in the Cake Crime episode, Pinkie thought the window’s shutters closed on their own.
It hasn’t been addressed. And probably never will be addressed.
