Yes, yes, it is. The writing is subpar for the series, they took out every character we’ve come to know and love and replaced them with substitutes with little substance, and Phoenix…oh, good Lord, they completely derailed Phoenix’s character. Even in the flashback done in the original style, he says things he never would have, considering how hurt he was when it was said about him…okay, done ranting, it’s just bad.
 
However, there is hope! Dual Destinies improved things quite a bit, and even managed to make the new characters tolerable, Phoenix is back in action and his old characterization is back. Heck, even Pearls makes a return!
