I think the idea is that when all the cutie marks on all the thrones glow, that’s when the map of Equestria is revealed.
I don’t know if my heart will be able to handle the revelation.
What does it even mean? I guess we’ll have to cautiously find out next season.

Yeah, I couldn’t any reliable info on it to mark my calender and for some reason I’ve heard rumors that it’s actually arriving this coming November. I was skeptical, of course, but then Korra book 4 started just last week so I thought maybe I was in for some pleasant surprises. Alas.
We don’t know exact dates, sadly.
I hope the other 5 Mane casts still have their own homes in Ponyville and that Tirek didn’t destroy everything.

Congrats for noticing that small detail that has barely any impact on S5 itself.
No really, good that you picked that out, but it has nothing to actually relate to anything important from Season 5.
Pinkie is also sitting in Applejack’s throne during this scene, but it doesn’t glow.

The hidden thing is Rarity’s cutie mark on her throne. If you saw the season 5 animatic, you will know what I am talking about.

It tells me that the outline of the season 5 premiere was drafted some time before animation of Rainbow Rocks was completely finished, considering that this particular detail in the background has no relevance to Rainbow Rocks, but will be important come season 5.
The only footage there really is.
