…In my defense, I’m like so far behind it’s not even funny. For the past year and a half or so the comics I’ve actually read for myself has not changed from this list: 1-4, 5 & 6, 11, and the Twilight and Rainbow Dash Micro Series. Pretty much all my knowledge of anything else comes from hearsay or scans like this. Though I think that once I get the chance to binge, the only ones I’m gonna skip are the bookworm storyline (since I saw enough scans and summaries to get the gist of the plot, and saw one scanned bit in particular where the other mane six members blame Twilight for what happened even though THEY were the ones screwing around with the stories… and they’re portrayed as being in the right) and the one with the kelpie that spawned the “Twilight justifies evil meme”.

They have been doing that since the comic started. Two early examples:
 
After the Rarity Micro, hippy ponies and F&W logo make cameos in other issues.
 
In Nightmare Rarity, Sweetie Bell makes a reference to the CMC kidnapping in the previous arc. Then in Gazebo Repair Luna mentions the previous arc.

Holy crap, continuity between the different subsets of the comic? Or for that matter, continuity nods to earlier comic issues at all?
