I don’t think ted intentionally meant to insult the readers, (they were just two brief cameos that didn’t even effect the story) and he even apologized for it, and stated he’s not going to put OCs in the book anymore. There’s nothing else he can do at this point.

I agree, (nice to finally see somebody on the same page as me) I don’t like what Ted did either, (as I said he at least apologized for it, that’s more then the SJWs ever did) it’s a shame some are letting this incident ruin the entire series for them, or calling for Ted’s job/head now…
 
Just like some let “Twilicorn,” Faust leaving, or EqG ruin the entire pony TV series, or entire brony fanbase for them…

Indeed, I hope this all blows over soon. Though, I think that’s overboard of the admin staff to decide not to let IDW comic images on the site anymore, just because of Ted… (Which seems even more biased then what he did/said, not to mention unfair to fans who do still wish to enjoy the comic series.)

If you abandoned Tumblr for the behavior of one independent user, then you can’t hold us at fault for abandoning any loyalty to IDW due to the actions of someone they do hold responsibility for. You must understand our position here.

Worse would be to bottle our disappointment and act like we are a-OK the people who work on the things we might read or watch support (and agree!) with the people that hate us for… well, existing.
 
So no, sorry to Andy and Katie, but if Ted is still involve, I want nothing to do with anything of it.

This is depressing. Not the Ted issue, but the people commenting. Pirating the comic because ONE GUY is a terrible person? I’ve never even heard of this guy before! He’s not a big name important person for teh comics. He’s written some yeah, but that’s not even half!
 
Think of Andy and Katie who have put more work into the comics than anyone! How is this fair on them?? Don’t you dare lump those two brilliant people in with Ted!

Also this is extra depressing for me, as Cuteosphere is one of the only SJWs I have actually spoken to, and they are the reason I won’t use Tumblr anymore. Used to be such a huge fan of her artwork, and her other fans kept telling me her anti-men posts were jokes. But no, she’s just nasty and messed up. SJWs ruin life.

Yeah, fuck that. I won’t be giving IDW or Hasbro even the little amount of money I used to give them until that fellow is fired, and I was already sort of really cross with all of them.

It’s usually a very bad idea to let stuff like that into official works. It’s why you often see things like “comments made by [[insert name here]] in no way reflect the opinions of [[insert company name here]]” or something to that effect before DVD commentaries or things that aren’t completely scripted. Like, it would have been every bit as bad to put an OC like Molestia or even Backy in (and yes, I’m a huge fan of both of them).
 
And now, look at the outcome. We’ve got a fanbase that’s pissed and/or hurt by the comics, I’ve seen more than a handful of people declaring they’re done with the comics, TSP stated they wouldn’t advertise IDW here anymore, the comics won’t have any fan-OC shout-outs anymore, and it’s probably even caused a few waves within the comic staff themselves.
 
This is an ugly turn of events, when you think about it, and it could get a lot worse for those involved. What’s to stop the higher ups of IDW from saying “hey, we don’t want our company associated with that stuff” and firing Ted, or even worse, cancelling the series? I’m not saying they will do that, but they definitely could.

I suppose you have a point, and perhaps the staff should keep stuff like that private, or not have it influence the comic. Still, it was just two cameos, not like they were preaching about how “men/bronies are evil” in the series. This is like the drama over Yamino (whom some blame “Derpygate” over) drawing a cover for the comic, only even worse.
 
Still, I can see why that kinda thing is upsetting fans, but I don’t think it’s right to blame/demonize all of IDW, Hasbro, or the other people who make the comic over it.  
Heck, Ben Bates also does artwork for the Archie Sonic series, so they don’t exclusively work for IDW, or Hasbro people forget. (They’re freelance artists/writers.)
 
Heck, as I said Ted Anderson doesn’t even make every issue, so if you all feel that strongly over it, you can just avoid his issues, instead of all of the IDW series, but I’m not going to tell others what to do, nor do I really want to debate about it anymore.
 
Ted also announced he’s not going to have anymore fan-OCs cameo in his issues, and apologized for it upsetting people, at least.

What you say is true, it’s more that people are insulted and hurt that one of the comic’s writers is so vocally supporting someone who’s been so actively rotten and hate-filled to the fanbase directly.
 
Like, do you remember when William Shatner made the whole “get a life” comment to the trekkies? It took them years to get over that. Yet if he had come out and been like “abortion is good/bad”, people would have been pissed but gotten over it quickly.
 
This isn’t about a guy on the comic’s staff having an opinion people don’t like. This is about a guy on the comic’s staff openly supporting someone like Dragondicks/Cuteosphere.

So then would you stop watching MLP:FiM, and stop being a brony, if say one of the single animators, random writers, or somebody said something you didn’t like, didn’t agree with politically, or liked watching Fox, or something?
 
I don’t know, honestly I’ve liked stuff made by people I disagree with politically, (on both sides) and such before. (Though, that doesn’t mean I’d support brony-haters like Ponett, whom many still felt made a good pony fan-game regardless.)
 
Let’s not forget when Tara Strong said things like, “Autistic people don’t kill people, guns do,” or her remark about the American election which was also met with some mild controversy.  
I’m not a gun-enthusiast, but I disagree with her viewpoint that guns, and such are “evil,” but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop watching ponies, or enjoy her voice-work, because of that.
 
Not justifying Ted, not saying we should all support the comics, or tolerate such things put in them, but I think we’re jumping the gun demonizing all of IDW, and the MLP comics over one measly person.
 
Plus, it’s not like Ted works on every issue of the comic. I think Ken Penders was a jerk, but I still like the Sonic comics. (And Ken doesn’t even work for them anymore luckily.)
