Got a source for that? Like, a legit, non-4chan or tumblr source? Because everything I’ve seen just says “2015,” and given how TV seasons work, late 2014 would fall into the 2015 “season,” so it COULD just mean another November or December release. Not to mention, the staff has been kind of weird about when they reveal the premiere dates of each season; during the gap between seasons 2 and 3, they didn’t reveal the airdate for “Crystal Empire” until literally a month before its airdate (and in the months preceding that, they outright said that they wouldn’t reveal it until a month prior to the airdate). But with season 4, they revealed it nearly four or five months in advance, which now that I think about it probably made the wait more agonizing.
 
And the reason I brought up season 4 is this: if the first EQG didn’t have any effect on the release date of season 4, then why would Rainbow Rocks have any effect on when season 5 starts?

It’s the closest thing equestria has to texting. And even though it’s ancient powerful magic, it’s somehow worse than using ATNT.

I don’t care if people call this a “lame plot device” or not, as long as we hear why Sunset kept this book then there’s nothing to argue about.
