So I thought to myself that Ambrosia in the EqG verse can’t just go around randomly mauling people…instead she gets a dog to do it! She’s one of those types who, when confronted about their pet’s behaviour, will counter with “he’s just playing”. In one word, she overindulges him. They’re both fiercely protective of each other. He tolerates the presence of the other changelings, but only Ambrosia has direct control over him.
