That’s okay, if I link only my tumblr page here not the exact post if it isn’t on it? I mean that if I didn’t post it there I can link only my tumblrs front page? (I’m not english btw so, sorry about some mistakes ^^’)
I thought I only have to tag that if it isn’t posted by the artist itself.
Well sure, if you only upload your own pics (and post publicly, not as-anon) people can also find things by searching for uploader:PetuneDrop but that isn’t watchable, whereas an artist tag is. Plus, suppose that you want to upload something that you didn’t draw one day and also doesn’t need an artist tag, for example a screenshot? I could go on, like how the artist tag shows up when you mouseover a thumbnail but the uploader doesn’t, but I think you get the gist: having an artist tag makes your things more easily findable.

Protip: while linking to a tumblr frontpage is great at the time of posting (or if it isn’t posted there at all but want to have at least some sort of source), in a year or so from now, finding that specific post that had this picture is going to be a challenge. I’d change it on this one as an example but lately tumblr is being not nice to my browser so I can’t.
well at lesat you’re sourcing a public URL; I’ve seen tumblr.com/blog/<username> sometimes…

Thank you! I didn’t put an artist tag because I draw them. I thought I only have to tag that if it isn’t posted by the artist itself. I can still tag it if you want to :)
