My headcanon is that unicorns have a small but non-negligible part of their magic augmenting their limbs, leading to thin legs since their muscles don’t have to work as hard. Thinner legs are seen as very attractive, since they indicate powerful magic. This has led to the largely sedentary lifestyle and minimal diet of the unicorn nobility.
Also, Twilight drew many more eyes than she realized when she first arrived in Ponyville.
My headcanon is that she’s only slightly taller than Dash, who’s the shortest of the group. It makes sense that pegasi would be shorter in general; they need a lower body-weight and would be more agile in the air.
Also, I’ve always pictured Unicorns as talelr and thinner, so this matches up pretty well.
Headcanon clashes aside, this is an excellent piece of artwork.
Fits that AJ would be tall and muscular. She IS a work horse. :3
