I always find the “nerd-shaming” of bronies ironic, considering the people doing it are always into equally nerdy/childish things.
There’s also reverse cases too… A brony here was actually trying to nerd-shame me for being a (casual) Sonic fan.
Do I get to pick my free pony, or is it a grab bag kinda thing?
I guess whoever was in charge of said NipponCon’s gamesroom doesn’t like ponies/bronies, or just put it up as a joke.
But yeah, it does seem a li’l silly. It’d be like saying you can’t talk about “Star Wars,” or “Nintendo” there, or any other “geeky” thing there.
Also, what is Gamesroom? Is this some big meetup thing or is it just one of those clubs?

I’d sneak in more than one. Bigotry, even over such a minor thing as fandoms, is not okay, and I prefer to defy it as much as possible without breaking other rules.
