Naw, it changes quite randomly, basically when a mod remembers to change it.
Oh. Well someone told me it was changed every 3 days. So yeah, that few-weeks thing was weird.
Less than 4 days, actually. I sorta doubt it would have been featured for 10 days without anyone commenting on it.

Heh. If it’s digital (which I’m certain it is), then it’s most likely tablet. A mouse is an absolute pain to draw with, and most decent artists would consider it needless torment when a workable tablet can be gotten for as little as $50.
