I prefer her being born a pegasus ‘cause that is similar to how Twilight was born a unicorn, it makes things consistent & doesn’t limit alicornification to just unicorns.
Not sure how “canon” those story books are, (they’re basically official fanfiction) so I’d just take them with a grain of salt until it’s officially confirmed.
I kinda prefer her being uniquely born an alicorn, but I guess that orgin somewhat works to.
Itty bitty Cadance is adorable here BTW.
According to the Chapter Books, she was an pegasus orphan who saved the village of earth ponies that was caring for her from an evil sorceress. This is what turned her into an Alicorn.
I mean, a horn.
She loved an evil old lady so hard, she sprouted wings.
Cadance: “I’m going to marry that colt.”
Random Filly: “Why?”
