I agree that this wasn’t exactly the best place to voice concern over (semi)auto gun lust/worship, considering how silly most people are behaving on this thread, and not being serious about it.
 
However, gun violence may be (usually) less brutal and messy than sword violence, but it is also far easier to kill multiple people with one gun than it is with one sword, accidentally or intentionally. It’s also far less honorable than close-up hand-to-hand combat, but that’s a whole other debate…
