Yes because having the region in control of a zealous nationalist who hate your guts is totally better than having it controlled by the weak empire who are already your de facto vassal and who do litteraly everything you command. Great thinking here mate.

Craziest part about the nord racism thing is that the entirety of it is litteraly just one NPC in Windhelm who isn’t even affiliated with the Stormcloaks and the few npc’s who complain about “muh racism” are complete hypocrites (ie: that one Khajitt trader complaining that nords assume she trade skooma because of her race and who… actually do trade skooma, that gray quarter innkeeper who berate you if you are a Nord, the fact that the Dark elves are canonically extremely racist when they’re a majority etc…) And even other NPC’s of their own community tell the player that if they’d try actually integrating into nord society instead of complaining they’d be treated fairly.

Help me the thalmor took me hostage !!!! :-(
