Eh, it wasn’t that bad. (Plus, this is only really mocking 2 episodes. So it doesn’t really seem like a valid summery of a whole season.) In fact, I didn’t see as much drama over S4 as there was S3.

Y’know, the opinionated rant from the artist in the source-link kinda boarders on butthurt.
He says the episodes downright “offended” him he hated them so much. (Not posting the whole thing, just parts of his complaints I wish to offer my own opinions, and perhaps rebuttals on. Maybe I’m just bored.) :P

No established development of the Ponytones BEFORE the episode. They were just there for this episode.
Pinkie Pie being a total ****!! No excuses, she was brutal and didn’t make the situation ANY better for Flutters.

I think he forgets alot of “established” things came out of nowhere in the series, and it’s possible this stuff happened off-screen still. We didn’t even know Sweetie Belle had parents, and didn’t live with Rarity until Season 2 for instance. (Heck, she wasn’t even addressed as Rarity’s sister, until later in Season 1.) Heck, we only got confirmation recently that Scootaloo isn’t homeless, and we still haven’t seen if she has any parents/realtives she lives with. (And let’s not get started on the drama over Twilight having a brother.)
I also disagree with his remarks that Pinkie was a ****, and “brutal” to Flutters. She was just being her usual silly, naive tactless self, and just didn’t realize she was upsetting Flutters.
Which I guess in some ways was a li’l off if you consider she talked Dashie out of pranking her before, (as somebody pointed out before) knowing she couldn’t handle even a teensy prank.
So I guess Pinkie was a li’l “Flanderized” this ep’, but I wouldn’t say she was “brutal.”

Apparently her friends forgot that Fluttershy is SHY and why would she ever be a part of a singing quartet in front of other ponies. IT’S IN HER FUCKING NAME!!

True, but she has been getting more how you say assertive sense “Putting Your Hoof Down,” and been less shy, and particiating in other events. (Like helping setting up things for Cadance’s wedding, or the Crystal Empire’s fair, and such.) So it could be easy for them to mistakingly think she’d be comfortable singing now, and such when you take that in mind.

The Ponytones themselves are a mess. Has Rarity or Big Mac EVER have any development together prior? Why would Big Mac even be a part of this group? Doesn’t he work FULL time anyways at the apple farm? What is he doing here?!
Who the hell are these other two ponies with them, and why should I care about them?

Why do they need to establish everything? (As I pointed out already many things in the show kinda came out of nowhere already, and nobody complained about those.)
Big Mac apparently can’t have a hobby besides working on a farm? Also, ranting about the 2 other Ponytones existance is kinda like ranting about “Lyra’s” importance to the show, and such…
(I think Torch Song is kinda adorable personally, so forget you.)

Nothing wrong with Big Mac and the Turkey Call. That was probably the only funny part of the episode with him and Pinkie. Oh and the little Filly Zipporwhill.
The Flutterguy voice I feel should only be used once during Bridle Gossip considering it’s an iconic gag of the show and reusing it again just cheapens it validity. And even called it Flutterguy in the episode made me cringe.
For an episode of them being a singing group, they never really sing any other songs except the one. Hmm…..
The background pony thing isn’t related to the episode, but just a silly rip on Twilight for not having much of a presence during that time during Season 4.

This part I will kinda agree with. (Zipperwill is adorable BTW.) While I didn’t mind the callback to “Flutterguy,” I guess it does kinda cheapen the gag. I also kinda agree about “Background pony Twi’.” I find it ironic whenever “Twilicorn”-haters complain that the show is “all about Twilight” now, call it the “Twilight Show,” or that she’s a “Mary-Su,” and such, when I kinda feel she’s been a “background pony” for most of season 4 except in the opening, and the last few episodes of the season. (Even “Twilight Time” was more of a CMC episode.)

Applejack was a STALKER to Applebloom and her behavior was unacceptable! Sure she worries about her sister and that is fine, but freaking turning it up to 11 and literally STALKING the poor filly was just BAD! Applejack had a job to do and had NO SAY anymore in the Apple family’s decision to leave AB alone. Why are you still here? It’s just unacceptable.

We’ve also seen AB and the CMC’s be left alone numerous times in other episodes and where was Applejack in those episodes? And what did AB get from the whole experience? Getting punished because she went out to do her older sisters job! Something in which Applejack FORCED her to do because she needed to get away. Last we checked before AJ arrives, AB was doing fine when she was alone. She was responsible! This was just a very weak episode and Sonnenborn didn’t win me over with Trade Ya either because that episode, literally NOTHING happened and the ending was a cop out!

Oh yeah, AppleBloom was perfectly fine traveling alone before big ol’ evil stalker Applejack showed up. It’s not like a monsterous Chimera was going to show up, and try to eat her, or anything… (Oh wait…)

Also, those other times AppleBloom was “alone,” she actually wasn’t, (most of the time) she was either with the other 2 CMC, or grown-ups like Twilight, or Zecora most of the time. When she wandered alone into the forest in “Bridle Gossip” Applejack wasn’t keen on that, I recall. So AJ has been shown to be a li’l protective of AB at times in the past to. Admittedly, it was a li’l exaggerated this ep’, but I felt it was just played for laughs, so it didn’t bother me that much. There are times when I get overly paranoid with taking care of my niece, or nephews, and other times when I get not so paranoid, so I guess I can kinda relate to ‘Jack. So it didn’t seem that out of the blue, and OOC to me personally.

I guess maybe I don’t take the show seriously enough to be offended by these 2 episodes that much.
I can’t think of any Season 4 eps, that actually bothered me that much. Closest would be “For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils” which I thought at times made Sweetie a li’l to bitchy/petty at times, (holding a grudge against Rarity for something that happened years ago for instance) but regardless I actually liked that episode, and you have to understand Sweetie’s a child, and children tend to blow things out of proportion when they get mad, or jealous like Sweetie was. (And Luna did a good job scaring her straight.)
I guess Sweetie’s li’l repressed “grudge” with her sis’ Rarity also kinda brings her hero-worship of her in a new light now to. (As TVTropes pointed out.)

Anyways just giving my opinions to, I’ll be amazed if anyone even reads all this. :P

I honestly wasn’t that bothered by that ep’, but I will admit this is a funny parody.

Never thought I’d see anyone call Twilight a “background pony.” (Especially, with all the anti-Twilight fans trying to say the entire show is about her, and such.)

Not sure I get the “gobble gobble” bit.
