Well, it’s not like there’s a lot of males in the show with depth, Impious.

Shining Armor is a fucking drone, though. He exists only to justify Cadence’s existence.

She’s still nice, though.

The only thing I don’t like about Cadence is that she basically took over Celestia’s role in our minds. We all used to think that Twilight basically lived with Celestia, and the two became close as the princess assumed a sort of secondary mother role as she taught Twilight as much as she could. It was a very different sort of relationship.
 
But nope, turns out Celestia really was nothing more than a teacher, and most of the time Twilight hung out with Cadence. There’s still the chance that Cadence only took care of Twilight before the big exam, but somehow everything seems to point to “NO.”
 
I welcome my headcanon being thrown out in favor of superior canon, but that was a rough blow.
