My bad, for some reason I didn’t read the pound sign as pound but as dollars.
Also congrats on the facebook page thing, even though it like 1.5 years late.
Just thought I’d mention it, I’m actually in the UK.
But yes, it’s still cheaper to build smaller models, and cheaper than buying the official models.
Smaller models are easier to store and quicker to build too.
Thinking of posting one more pic here of the pony titans, along with a selection of my other super heavies. For those that know of it, I did once make the Warhammer World facebook page one year. (9th november 2012 if I remember correctly). I took one of my more ambitious projects with me, and caught more than a little attention. It was a full scale Chaos Harbinger bomber model. GW no longer run their facebook page so the picture’s gone from there.
Still, 2 warhounds and a reaver is just 120 bucks, while to reavers and a single warhound would be 135 dollars, I wouldn’t think it fair to ask you to spend 15 extra bucks on this project then you’ve already spent.
This model and all my Warhound models are scratch built. I do have 2 forge world reaver titans, but I wasn’t about to fork out over £550 for a reaver just to paint it with ponies.
This model probably set me back around £50 in materials.
The Warhounds around £35 each, maybe less.
So beautiful…
I can totally understand buying 2 Warhound titans and 1 Reaver one rather then getting 2 Reavers and one Warhound, that shit is expensive.
Always get comments from fans of the show when they see Cadance has a bigger titan representing her than Celestia and Luna, who are on two of my pony themed Warhounds.
