I think I see where you’re confused. I meant that the confectionery transforms into the powerful stomach-destroying acid after a certain amount of time has passed once it’s eaten.

And the truly horrific demise is the fact the acid eats through their stomach and other organs.

She’s a simple confectioner… And the most infamous and feared assassin in the lands. How?

Simple, she makes confectioneries that transform into a highly powerful acid that eats through the victim’s stomach and causes a truly horrific demise after a certain amount of time. Her preferred method of delivery of these treats is disguising herself as a courier and making the target believe they’re from a trusted ally.

We debated the actual cause over pizza and schnapps for a couple hours (I was proud of their innovative solution). I believe it was finally decided that a dragon’s skull would be thick enough to survive, but the impact force would cause massive impact trauma to the brain, as well as folding the neck and severing the spinal cord, causing autonomic system failure. Our female player was more interested in the physical dynamics of the event and proving that the dragon never needed the tiles, but never came up with a solution.

Ah, I miss those days. Six players, all IQ 120+, all RPGA certified DMs, and all capable of of breaking the game with very little effort. Who needs 9th level spells when Scorching Ray does 30d6 (she loved finding efficient metamagic stacks)?

As of D&D 3.5 source material (one of the many “Complete” books), crafting potions into a non-standard medium was made core, while Forgotten Realms material has had potion bread and confections at least from AD&D 2nd ed. I remember running a campaign where a Mist Dragon was attaching spell-tiles of Heal (yay Master Alchemist prestige class and potions up to 9th spell level) to its forehead and sinking ships by leaping out of the sea and head-diving into them. Tile broke on impact, healing the falling damage the dragon took from hitting the ship, and the dragon got ship cargo. Party beat it by enchanting an elven glassteel ship to look like wood.

Potion-maker, but instead of magic potions she makes magic candy.

I had a cleric of the god of thieves who produced healing and buff potions in the form of magic liquor. Magic candy makes as much sense.
