This is likely fake.

is near.
In other words, you know more about the characters than the showrunner does. Right.
What’s your take on the theory that pegasi have very weak family ties, since we haven’t seen any family members of any of the significant pegasi characters, save a brief shot of Rainbow Dash’s father/brother?
@SeraphimDawn
Well, it seems very unlikely Twilight (or Cadance) would’ve become an alicorn, so this particular issue would be moot. But there still would be other questions like where Luna’s batpony guards came from.
Look, if St. Faustus was still with the show and was allowed the amount of creative freedom she hope for, this all would’ve been sorted out.
And outlive everypony else?
I don’t she was able to answer that question properly at all. They might just break it off in a cliff hanger at the series finale, like in a lot of cartoons. Of course every fictional character will be immortal as long as they keep producing and featuring the same characters for as long as they will it. Take the Simpsons, Spongebob, Timmy Turner, Peter Griffon, and Ash Ketchum.
That’s all speculation and hand-waving. As far as I’m concerned, Twilight is just as ageless as they are until the show proves otherwise.
Celestia and Luna, being born alicorns, have longevity that converted alicorns like Twilight do not have.
or
Celestia’s and Luna’s connections to the heavenly bodies also grant them longer lifespans.
or
Celestia and Luna live longer due to exposure to some magical event in the far distant past, possibly related to Discord’s chaos powers or Star Swirl the Bearded’s research.
There’s many ways to explain why Twilight won’t have the same extended lifespan that Celestia and Luna enjoy. Why should we doubt a Word of God statement because it hasn’t been explicitly demonstrated in-universe as well?
Unless they somehow explain how Celestia and Luna are immortal.
I think your grasp of fiscal policy’s affects on the economy may be a little shaky.
But, I certainly do find the rest of your conversation interesting. I think bingo is probably right. Heck, even if the rest of the mane six became alicorns, it would probably be about as exciting as when the brat versions of Goten and Trunks were revealed as miniature super saiyans.
Still, it’d be the only reasonable way for McCarthy’s claim that Twilight won’t outlive the others to make any sense.
I’ll take your words for it.
I just don’t want people jumping the shark and causing havoc in the fandom while at it. We’ve already have issues with those SJWs, we don’t want another fandom infighting.
Trust me, they won’t make any of the other 5 alicorns.
S4 has shown me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that there will not be any world changing magical events unless they are designed 100% for twilight’s progress: Season 3 was about Twilight becoming an alicorn, and the Entire Box arc of Season 4, despite ostensibly being about all of them, was Designed as a vehicle for Twilight to ascend into a full princess with a kingdom and purpose: Twilight discovering her key was treated as the most important event and the key to Tirek’s defeat with the other’s keys being more or less background material.
As such, you can rest assured this will not happen, as there is no way for them to advance twilight’s story in a plot dedicated to making the others alicorns.
That was the type of mentality that got us Reaganomics, which got people into a financial crisis during the 90s. And was the mentality that the Bush administration used which got us into our current limbo. Japan and Japanese companies have a very bad case of senile management.
I have faith they aren’t as stupid as politicians are.
“If it worked in the past. It should work right now.”
Hasbro has existed for more than half a century. And they are doing better than Mattel. Even though Mattel is still bigger.
Pray they don’t follow that line of logic.
Yeah, it seems that MLP is still the main thing that keeps them afloat. It’s natural they’d make it last. But it’s also natural they’d attempt at other things to stretch out a bit.
I will admit, I find it hard to argue against this considering I would actually LOVE for all six to become alicorns, but I just don’t think you have anything to worry about.
If they made all six alicorns it would almost be an incredibly “Final” thing for the series: I mean, if you make all of them alicorns, where do you progress to from there? They’re gods at that point, you’ve hit the sky.
So I don’t think Hasbro would be in a hurry to do so if they want to stretch the series out.
Adding onto that, I doubt McCarthy is in any hurry to do so, as that would make Twilight less special and this is something she’ll guard against at all costs.
So both forces for the show seem unlikely to mandate such a thing.
But there is constant “threat” of the possibility of Hasbro making such move to cater to those little kids. Because those nagging little [REDACTED] have parents who’d buy them anything to please them. That is why Disney still continues this accursed “Princess culture” that I think should’ve died last decade ago. It might prove too tempting for them down the future.
