And test tubes are perfectly shaped and constructed so as to minimize shrapnel when they’re blown up from the inevitable lab explosion.
Those cone-shaped ones are called Erlenmeyers, and they’re good for mixing stuff. The round ones are good if you want to evaporate stuff, but I don’t do that very much.
