This change made to diagnoses of autism and Asperger’s has been among the highest profile and most controversial in the new DSM-5. A study, published in April 2012 using a preliminary version of the new DSM-5 autism spectrum criteria found about 75 percent of patients who had been diagnosed with Asperger’s under the old criteria would no longer qualify for a diagnosis, raising the possibility that they could lose access to services, such as special education in schools.
Here is somthing to note, there are three main types of autism.
Pervasive developmental disorder, Autistic disorder, and, hope I don’t loose you here, Asperger’s syndrome.

All you keep talking about how it doesn’t exist because in DSM 5 it was removed as a separate diagnosis, ignoring how its was put as part of the autism spectrum.
How does it not being separate from autism means it doesn’t exist at all?

Better question, how does the DSM 5 prove that Aspergers doesn’t exist anymore when it ONLY removed it as a separate diagnosis from autism, it made it part of the autism spectrum.
