Description
Ponies who wish to ascend beyond being a royal guard and become one of Celestia’s knights must test their mettle against the giant monstrosity. The Looking Glass Pony.
That’s because it’s all three, a mirror, a portal(Enemies pop out of it) and a shield.
also the Mirror Shield sorta looks like a portal than a shield.
Absolutely not necessary. I killed him on my first try, pure melee. No magic, no ranged. His attacks are slow and easy to roll through/away from. The biggest mistake one could do is trying to block. A ranged weapon CAN help, don’t get me wrong, but if you go overboard with it and go into negative stamina, he could just do his running smash attack and send you to kingdom come.
@suddensharpintakeofbreath
Have fun with him, I know I did! Definitely my favorite boss in the entire Souls series.
Bring a good ranged weapon. Trust me, you’ll really want one.
Oh you’re going to have a fun time.
No, I’ve only just defeated the Looking Glass Knight and gone down into the shrine.
Haven’t fought Velstadt yet?
I was talking about his visual design, not gameplay design.
When I fought him, he only summoned one blue phantom, and it was either an NPC or a really clueless player who basically just let me kill him. Either way, I don’t see the problem with having a PVP element to the boss battle, because the PVP in DSII has been really fun for me so far.
@Velstadt, the Royal Aegis
A boss I’ve not encountered yet, I assume.
I’ve done NG+ Mirror Knight solo and killed the invader before they got a chance to act, its all about making sure they don’t get an opportunity to act by using area effect spells or smacking them right as they spawn. Just gotta make sure they’re running so they don’t try to fight with the boss.
No offense,
But I deem you mentally unstable for thinking an invasion-capable boss fight is okay xD
Care to guess my favorite?
The mirror knight is probably my favourite boss in terms of design so far.
